You can use the Forum Mailbox to:
- Suggest ways in which the Forum can help to improve your Campus experience
- Volunteer your services in assisting the Forum in its efforts to enhance the Campus (see our Plans and Projects)
- Register complaints about service delivery on campus. These can relate to safety, security, infrastructure maintenance and repairs, cleaning, etc.
This is the procedure for logging faults relating to maintenance, repairs and cleaning:
Requester:
- Phone 4000 or email CMSFM@ukzn.ac.za
- Provide your staff number, name, email address and extension no.
- Provide details of the fault, including the room no. and building or area
CMS:
- A work request will be generated by the CMSFM system within approximately 24 hours and the request reference number emailed to the Requester for future reference.
- The request is then approved and prioritized according to the degree of urgency. Response times are one hour for emergencies; 8 hours for urgent matters; 5 days for less urgent matters.
- The required action is then taken.
Follow-up:
Once the Requester has received the work request reference number, he/she can follow up with the relevant person(s):
